About the Event

Last week, we attended the ASB Association of Scottish Businesswomen at Inter-Continental Edinburgh The George awards conference and were proud to see Women Ahead amongst the finalists, alongside outstanding organizations from across Scotland.

While we did not take home the top prize, in our eyes, we are winners considering the immense effort required to rebuild and reignite momentum in Women Ahead after a long period of dormancy. The hard work and dedication of our committee members and general members has paid off.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our chair/president, Delia, for her steadfast leadership this past year. Despite the challenges faced, she never lost belief that we could accomplish great things with the right team in place. Her unwavering input and consistency made our achievements possible.

Moreover, we want to congratulate our own committee member, Susan, for being a finalist for Lifetime Achievement. Throughout her career as a Chartered Civil Engineer and registered Barrister, she has accomplished amazing things in the construction industry.

Furthermore, a special thank you to our other committee member, Elizabeth, for joining the WA group and attending the awards. Her support for Women Ahead has been invaluable. We are extremely grateful that the hard work of women entrepreneurs in Dundee and Angus has been recognized through these achievements. This is a big moment for us all.

We will continue to empower women in business in our region and build on this success and create a safe environment for networking .

Once again, congratulations to all of the deserving winners and finalists. Thank you, ASB Association of Scottish Businesswomen, who made this event possible and for those who supported us along the way.
