Time Commitment: Approximately 4–6 hours per month (excluding major events)

Location: Dundee, Tayside and Angus – this role requires regular presence in the area

Purpose of the Role
As Women Ahead continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced, well-connected professional to join our Board as a Membership Non-Executive Director.

This role focuses on strengthening the organisation’s membership base by supporting membership growth, retention, and engagement, while contributing valuable insights and professional connections to the organisation.

The Membership Director will work closely with the President and the Board to ensure Women Ahead continues to develop a strong and vibrant community of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support membership growth and retention strategies.
  • Strengthen the Women Ahead membership value proposition.
  • Help develop initiatives that increase engagement and participation among members.
  • Act as an ambassador and connector for Women Ahead within the business community.
  • Introduce potential members, partners, or collaborators to the organisation.
  • Contribute insights and recommendations to support the organisation’s growth.

Requirements

  • Senior professional experience (director, executive, founder, or equivalent).
  • Experience with membership organisations, professional networks, or community initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Established professional network and ability to create meaningful connections.
  • Alignment with Women Ahead’s mission and values.
